Barbara Hamby

Barbara Hamby is the author of four books of poems, most recently Babel (2004) and All-Night Lingo Tango (2009) from the University of Pittsburgh Press. She was a 2010 Guggenheim fellow in poetry, and her book of short stories, Lester Higata’s 20th Century, won the 2010 Iowa Short Fiction Award. She co-edited an anthology of poetry, Seriously Funny (University of Georgia Press, 2009), with her husband, David Kirby. She teaches at Florida State University and has new work in American Poetry ReviewAGNIPloughshares, and The Yale Review. (updated 10/2012)
